Kiss
of Death –
Revue by Christine Hasan Kiss
of Death – I was quickly won over by John D Bessler's handling of a very sensitive subject. In fact I found this book as hard to put down as a well plotted thriller; albeit for very different reasons. He deals with the iniquities of death penalty sentencing in a frank and open way. Whilst he never seeks to glamourize or sensationalize murderers, he does show that in the main they are not the brutal thoughtless killing machines that we would all like to visualize. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in death penalty issues. Or simply those interested in learning something new and perhaps, just maybe, shifting their viewpoint a little.
