Brandon Bernard

My name is Brandon Bernard. I was born on July 3, 1980. I was imprisoned at the age of 18. I am now 24 yrs old. I dabble in poetry and writing. I also enjoy reading of a wide range of topics. People might think the reason for this profile is just to meet new people. That may be one reason, but why meet someone who’s life I can not help change for the better? Most of us want to change the world for the better, but the job seems too big. So what if we decided to do at least one thing to change just one person’s life? The other reason for this profile is to help new people. And that’s what I aim to do.

I understand how it feels too be alone. When life never seems to give you a break. The world moves so quick and people are so busy. That no one ever stops to listen. That is the essence of what I’m offering. A shoulder to lean on. A friend to listen. By helping others I help myself.

My life may be short or long (only God knows), but the positive impact on someone will last forever. By choosing to correspond with each other. I ask that you make a commitment to the betterment of each other. I refuse to be someone’s curiosity. Someone’s project to be thrown away when they get bored. For me life is short , and when your facing death you don’t take anything for granted. It also helps to put life in perspectives. Letters are my way out. A way to a freedom I don’t have. If you do decide to write please don’t write out of sympathy for me. God has already filled me with imaginable peace. Sometimes people get caught up in my situation or in the crime I’m accused and forget I’m a human being. Sometimes they also get caught up in two opinions or feelings about me. Either they pity me or they think I’m a monster. Believe me I’m not trying to convince anyone of my innocence or guilt. (I know God knows the truth and my faith). I’m just asking to meet people I can build with and turn to when things become overwhelming. I’m looking for a friend.
