Profile Lonnie Johnson Killed by the State of Texas on July 24, 2007
My
name is Lonnie Johnson, and I’m a 42 years old male, and born on March
19, 1963. I’ve been incarcerated for 16 years and on Texas death row
for 12. I’m very interested in gaining correspondence from all walks
of life, color, sex, or agenda doesn't matters. I
consider myself a member of the Anthroposphical Society that’s trapped
in the belly of the beast. I can understand the reluctance of people not
wanting to get involved with a person such as myself on death row, for
the emotional baggage is very difficult for every day people to deal
with. But I do invite all that are willing to write, write as much as
you please. I’m
not looking for anything in particular, just good open minded people.
Although first letters can be difficult, just relax! Write what’s on
your mind and heart. Share your thoughts, ideas, goals, and dreams.
Let’s just say my ears are yours if you choose to use them. Some
of my interests are reading, writing, working on my case, exercising my
body and soul, listening to my radio, politics, poetry (which I’m in
the process of completing a book of poems). I’m
the dad of 2 beautiful intelligent children that I’ve missed the
better part of their lives due to incarceration. I love them deeply,
more then life itself, with all my heart and soul. I’m extremely proud
of them, the way they stayed focussed on their education through this
tragic situation for all families who are involved. I
look forward to hear from those who are willing and able to write. Rest
