My strong and courageous friend on death row deserves to have more good friends in his life, people he can trust and rely on. Michael has been on death row since 1984, from the age of 24, wrongly accused and convicted of murder, and he has been fighting the system ever since trying to appeal his conviction and prove his innocence. He had everything to live for but can only barely remember what it’s like to be free. He has not seen the stars, the fullmoon or a sunset in all these years, something most of us take for granted or simple ignore. For Michael who has no family and only a few close friends life is beyond anyones imagination of loneliness and dispair. He is not allowed to have any physical contact with others and is only allowed out of his cell a few hours a week to exercise and shower. He is a good, kind man with a great sense of humor, fiercely loyal, honest, caring and devoted. In the years that I have been fortunate to know Michael he has taught me the value of of the small pleasures in life and to appreciate life in general, and he has never failed to give me inspiration and support. He has taught me never to take anything for granted and be careful not to let life slip through the fingers! Anyone with a sincere and caring heart who wish to help bring the light of day into his life, please write. He is 47 years old, an excellent artist who does magic with a pen, likes to read and listen to music, he loves animals and nature, has a playful nature and misses riding his Harley!
