Robert Butts

Hello, my name is Robert Butts, and I am a 28 years old death row inmate. I’m 6’1” tall and weigh 205 lbs., with an athletic build. I was arrested when I was 18 years old. I was still learning then as I’m still learning now, and I only wish to continue learning while I’m blessed with life and apply what I’ve learned back to the world while I continue to travel this journey we know as life.

When you got something that you never had, you have got to do something you have never done. What I want is true friendship, which lives in the heart. I’m willing to open my heart to any of you on the chance that I may find true friendship because you’ll never know unless you take a chance to find out.

I believe that living without focus is only existing, and keeping focused gets hard at times when your body is confined, your mind isolated, and your heart lonely. Nevertheless, I wish to not merely exist while I’m still around. I want to keep my focus in all that I do while I travel this journey because I’ve made one too many mistakes already. I want to be part of something or someone and share a meaningful bond that can bring happiness to the heart because that’s where it matters the most.

My reason for this advert is solely friendship. Loyalty is what many claim to have, but very few possess, I’ve learned that from experience, therefore it’s a priceless jewel. I believe friendship is the medicine of life and can cure all pains, it can also be a guide though life the same as a candle through darkness.

I enjoy travelling, driving, the beach, camping, animals, and nature. I’m more of an outdoors person, but while I’m indoors (at the momentJ)… I enjoy writing, reading, exercising, brainstorming, and chess.

Success seems to be a matter of hard work and endurance. I’m doing my best to work hard and endure the bad weather that continues to blow my way. Hope keeps me hanging on and pressing forward to a positive change, without it, I’d be lost.

Having renounce my former self, I find that rebirth does not follow automatically, that a void is left in one’s vision, and this void seeks constantly to erase itself by pulling one back to one’s former outlook. I believe that the more you are exposed to now, the broader your vision can be, and my goal is to keep an open mind and heart while continuing to seek a broader vision, and I enjoy this pursuit for many reasons. I’m just hoping that some of you will join in to make this ride a more joyful experience. I also want to be a friend to some of you, and if you give me a chance to, I will show you that a prisoner is not always a criminal because people can change. Thanks.
