Profile

Robert Simon

Hello,

I am an ex-prison guard that’s been on death row since 1990. I was born in August 23, 1963. I am creative and my skin is as dark as a moonless night. :D Other prisoners do not talk or associate with me and I will never get used to that because I like connecting with others in positive conversations.

I am writing this letter because I need someone that I can open up to as a friend. I am lonely and have so much to talk about and ask about. I spend most of my time working on my appeal for freedom. I feel that no attorney will ever work harder or smarter than me to save my life. I also find the time to draw, exercise, and meditate. I read anything that I can get my hands on except romance J. And I write poems about my surroundings.

When I was a free citizen in society, I never could understand why so many people waited till they went to prison before seeking and embracing a faith or higher existence. Now I know that many of us just needed to be slowed down from the hectic abuse which we were placing on our minds and bodies every day while in society. My opinion is that many people do not set aside time for reflection until they or someone they love are facing a tragic moment. I must confess that I am still spiritually lost and claim no religion. Unless I find another legal route, Mississippi and my country will try to terminate my right to continue breathing within 18 months. Please reach out to me in friendship and accept me as I am.

Please help me to maintain my sanity by reaching out to me in friendship while I fight to keep my state and country from terminate my right to keep breathing.

“Please”

Sincerely Seeking Friends,

Robert Simon Jr.
