I
am Robert Talib Douglas, political prisoner #AY-3357 @ SCI Graterford.
I’m an innocent man, and a great miscarriage of justice has been done
upon me. I struggle to survive and maintain sanity and the existence of
life here on death row, and incarcerated for the past 23 ½ yrs.
Many
people might think they know exactly what goes on in a court room during
a criminal trial by looking at such shows such as; The Practice, Judging
Amy and other crime dramas or Court TV, in which the cases are real but
selected. In viewing you will always see expert witnesses and
investigators testifying to ensure that the accused gets "Due-Process."
What is
"Due-Process?" Due-process involves section 1 off the 14th
amendment of the Constitution of the United States, which provides in relevant part; “nor-shall state deprive any
person of life & liberty of property without due-process of law."
The due –process clause entitled a person to an impartial
disinterested tribunal in both civil and criminal cases, due-process
therefore requires not only that the judge or justice presiding in a
case, have no actual bias against a party, but also there is not “even
the probability of unfairness”.
“Blind justice”, which constitutes fundamental unfairness, is
misleading with the appearance of justice to satisfy politician’s
greed for conviction and the death penalty.
There was no live-eyewitness that testified during my trial. My arrest
and conviction was contrived through deliberate unlawful acts of
criminal conspiracy, perjury, fabricated evidence, and falsified
un-signed statements, favor treatment to no-show witness and other act
(s) by the police and their prosecuting authorities for their own
personal gain.
Where to those of you who lack the knowledge of unlawful act (s) and
unethical misconducts by the police and their prosecutors, that has been
used to deprive my two children of their father and his freedom. I have
written articles and booklets on my convictions without due-process. If

will be a source of growth and understanding for you. None TV shows that
take place behind those courtroom doors to many poor black/white
minorities, without proper investigation or the use of expert-witnesses
to rebuttal evidence against the accused.
For those who believe that such can not happen to you or a family/friend….it
can. An innocent person can be deprived of his life and liberty, an
innocent person can be put in jail for the rest of his life or even
executed…it has happened before and will again.
I have been incarcerated for the past 23 ½ yrs., the last 8 ½ being on
death row after I lost my appeal. I already had two death warrants
signed but by the grace of Almighty God, I received stays. I am 48 and
will be 49 come this Nov. 30th. I am African American.
