Women on Pennsylvania death row need help; action is needed!

We received a letter from Carol King who's housed on Pennsylvania's death row about the current situation the women have to live;

"Things here sre starting to take a toll on me, and it has gotten worse since last month. That is when they moved all 4 of us apart. We are now housed to the people that verbally assault us. And each one of us now share the vent system with them, so there is no way not to hear all of the awful they say like; "the electric chair is waiting for you" and "the lethal injection is calling your name" and then they scream in the middle of the night ˙ou're going to die!!!"

I have questioned why they have us apart after they told us in the past that it would not happen. I was told because it is not good security to house for death row inmates together, even though this has been this way for many years without incident. Oh! We know that it was done for revenge because we have reported the conditions here.

I finally felt like we may get improvements here soon."

Sharril wrote to us earlier about the conditions on the row there (click here) and would like to ask you again to take action. Send your letters of worries and complains to the warden, talk to your local human rights groups, or contact Carol or the other women directly. (addresses below)

Thank you very much!
