Poem #1

Confusion and chaos of truth distorting lies
Memories of birth only add to the disuise

Fear turns to anger Pain becomes pride
Misguided aggression and suicidal cries

Strength is found in the names of our dead
Spilling our blood for the dreams that they shed

I fill their voices and sing their song
With guidance from the spirits the illusion is gone.

Poem #2

Needing love but embracing hate
To purify dreams of Valhalla’s gate

Standing tall and proud
Screaming warriors’ names out loud

Hale Wotan, Balder, Frey and Thor!
Give me strength for this oncoming war

Maybe I am my father’s sun
Born free but forced to run

I stand waiting for the final storm
Using my pain to keep me warm

The laughing child was never me
Just a frightened boy fighting to be free

Why do I question why
When in my heart I know it’s a lie?

It’s the same ol’ song
The whipping boy done wrong

When will they realize it’s not just me
But a whole generation struggling to be free?

Questioned runes cast twice
Tempting realms of fire and ice

The saddest tales ever told
Are of warriors who grow old

Living only to watch their family die
For the rewards of battle are the ultimate high

Living death and tasting life
Eternal wisdom of self-sacrifice

This is the will to survive
